In accordance with Article 18 of the Telecommunications Law, TRA is empowered to set and collect an annual turnover fee from licensees in addition to fees for licensing and other activities.
TRA also collects fines for non-compliance with the Law, Regulations or Licensing Conditions. Such revenues are used to fund TRA’s operations and activities.
The latest schedule of fees was promulgated by the Authority in 2010 following a tariff rebalancing process which, on the one hand, reduced the level of the annual turn-over-based fees whilst on the other hand, certain fees were increased. The schedule of fees is reviewed as appropriate.
